Our Mission

As a non-profit hunting organization it is the purpose and goal of Forces in the Field to appreciate the veteran and the soldier through the medium of the outdoors. As impossible as it would be for us to understand the stories of a soldier returning from war, we believe that we all can understand the language of Mother Nature and through that sacred voice offer hope and restoration to the wounded warrior. Forces in the Field feels strongly that incredible outdoor experiences can serve to remind the soldier why he or she left to fight in the beginning … to preserve the freedom and strength of our beautiful land. And so we say, as thanks for maintaining the outdoorsman’s freedoms of bearing arms and partaking freely in the gifts of the land you’ve protected, let us take you fishing in the national parks you’ve fought for, let us show you again the wild beauty of elk herds roaming the Rockies and the stoic solitude of the Plains mule deer. Forces in the Field also provides an accountable place for the contributions of others like us, who want to help and express gratitude to our servicemen and women, but don’t know how.
